Rick’s deck-side gutter: before and after
Rick’s Highlands Ranch project shows an exposed gutter with debris alongside a deck, followed by micro-mesh protection on that roof edge. The paired view makes the change easy to inspect without relying on a generic product illustration.

The photos document installation along this particular roofline. They do not prove a specific service life, measured flow rate or the absence of future maintenance. No project price or footage is inferred from the image.
Roof-edge access matters as much as the gutter length
A gutter beside a deck deserves an access discussion during the estimate. Let us know about stairs, gates, furniture and areas where equipment access may be limited. The estimator can consider the actual configuration rather than assuming every run is equally accessible.
For your home, identify the sections you want protected and explain whether you are considering selected runs or the whole gutter system. Ask the written proposal to show the covered and uncovered areas, including how corners, ends and outlets will be handled.
Do not climb a ladder to photograph a concern. Ground-level observations and existing photos can help start the conversation.
From assessment to installed protection
Inspect and measure
Review gutter condition, roof-edge fit, downspouts and access before selecting the scope.
Clean and prepare
Cleaning is included with guard installation. Any separate repair needs should be identified in writing.
Install and review
Confirm the proposed product and attachment method for your home, then review care and coverage.
Guards are intended for suitable existing gutters. They should not be treated as a fix for damaged gutters, roof problems or downstream drainage. Read our installation guide and cost comparison guide before comparing proposals.
Less cleaning still calls for periodic checks
Surface debris can accumulate on gutter guards, particularly around roof transitions and outlets. Ask for the care instructions for the actual product proposed in your estimate. If pine needles are a concern, our pine-needle guide explains useful questions about openings, edges and maintenance.
Our lifetime warranty covers gutter guard materials and installation labor, including normal wear and tear. Gutter replacement is excluded. Request the written warranty and keep it with your project scope. For an existing installation concern, call 720-613-5696.
